[General description] The News caption of this photograph is as follows: 'The Lord Mayor (Mr. A.G. Barrett) wearing his new robes at the unveiling, in the Adelaide Town Hall today, of an honor roll, giving the names of all Mayors and Lord Mayors of Adelaide.' [On back of photograph] 'The Lord Mayor of Adelaide in his new robes / 1939 / Reproduced in the News for April 5, 1939 (p.1)' (Another hand) '(Previously, Mayors wore only a plain black robe / now scarlet robe, fur trimmed'.
