Historical information

Chart of the Course for the Australasian Motor Boat Championship for 'The Griffith Australian Championship Cup' held at Osborne, South Australia on 23rd February 1924. The Championship was to be decided by three 20 mile races, run at half hour intervals, the winner of two races gaining the title and trophy. An estimated 25,000 people viewed the race on the day, which was won by John McGinnis Williams from Queensland in his hydroplane 'Century Tire'.
