According to a researcher, this could be Emmie Maria (Emma) Nienaber who was born at sea on 29th March 1849. Her father would have been Heinrich Carl C. Nienaber and her mother Marie (nee Hehne). They settled in South Australia, and it is believed that Emma was involved in the movement to achieve votes for women in South Australia. Emma died on 9th September 1933 at Rose Park, South Australia.

Identified on the back in two hands 'Emma, Father & Mother'; later identification reads 'Emma very good, Ann good, Edmund dreadfull'. Identified as the Fordred family. Information from a researcher: 'Edmund Fordred (1823-1880) born Lyminge Kent, arrived in Victoria in 1853-54, noted goldmine manager in Maldon, Victoria and Solferino, nr Grafton NSW. Committed suicide at Maldon. Also Ann Fordred, his wife (nee Gardener) died 1877 Maldon. And their only child Emma Fordred born Cape Town, South Africa 1853, died Melbourne 1917'.
