Summary

Composite photograph of three people, presumed to be husband and wife and daughter. Identified on the back in two hands 'Emma, Father & Mother'; later identification reads 'Emma very good, Ann good, Edmund dreadfull'. Identified as the Fordred family. Information from a researcher: 'Edmund Fordred (1823-1880) born Lyminge Kent, arrived in Victoria in 1853-54, noted goldmine manager in Maldon, Victoria and Solferino, nr Grafton NSW. Committed suicide at Maldon. Also Ann Fordred, his wife (nee Gardener) died 1877 Maldon. And their only child Emma Fordred born Cape Town, South Africa 1853, died Melbourne 1917'.
