Summary

[General description] A fashionable lady poses in front of the Government House gates where the house can be glimpsed behind its garden trees. On the left the Edwardstown- City omnibus approaches. There are two fences running parallel along King William Road, a stone wall which follows the contours of the road and an inner fence which provides privacy and a boundary to the Government House property. [On back of photograph] 'Fence etc. on east side of King William Road, enclosing Government House grounds. / July 11, 1927. / For photo. of the old wall see B852 and B853.'
