[General description] The Adelaide Hospital complex is two storey and built of stone, with arched windows and cloistered verandahs. The two towers, which are a feature of this building, have been incorporated into the present day Coat of Arms of the hospital. The central block and the west wing of this hospital was completed in September, 1856, and the east wing was built in 1866-67. The Hospital garden and part of the Botanic Gardens appear in the foreground whilst open parkland and roofs of North Adelaide are seen in the background. [General description] This recently completed building, seen from the opposite side of the road, was designed in the Inter-war free classical style by George Gavin Lawson. It is built from red brick and concrete and features a large portico. See B 3745 for another view and information re the building. [On back of photograph] 'Bice Wing of the Adelaide Hospital. / North Terrace front. / Sep. 6, 1926 / Completed in 1926 / Frontage (including projection at site): 24 yards. West side is 127 yards east of Tavistock Street.'

[General description] The two storey Students Union building is surrounded by gardens and has a portico over its entrance. A cement wreath surrounds an oval shaped window on its gable end. The wall with decorative blind arches is the back of the Refectory.
