Wonderheat building street frontage is portion of former row of cottages - see B 2654. Vacant site on left was formerly occupied by remainder of row of cottages. An advertisement for Wonderheat from 1953 states that "Wonderheat gives all the real warmth and cheery atmosphere of a wood fire with none of the disadvantages and is also a home air conditioner"

This building houses the Burwood Flats which were erected on vacant land in 1928. The two storey red brick building contains many flats and all have bars on the windows.
