Robert Cruickshank was also Secretary of the Port Adelaide Football Club 1881, a prominent yachtsman, on the committee of the Port Adelaide Racing Club, a city solicitor in Port Adelaide, and Mayor of St Peters 1906, and 1908 to 1910.
