'Westralian' steel SS, 120 tons in Fremantle [steel hull, twin screw steamship, ON120008, 120 gross, 27 net tons. 128.9 x 16.0 x 9.3. Built 1905 Hoskins and Co., WA (actually a replating of the hull of the former pleasure steamer 'Manx Fairy' built in 1887) Twin compound steam engines, 300 indicated horsepower 14 knots built by Hutson and Corbett, Glasgow for the 'Manx Fairy'. Two funnels, pleasure steamer until 1921. Owners: Manx Fairy Ltd., registered Fremantle. Sept. 1906 Westralian Pleasure Ltd., registered Fremantle. Sept. 1906 Westralian Pleasure SS Co. Ltd. Large group of newly arrived boys under the 'Barwell Boys' immigration scheme, pictured outside a two storey brick building on Kintore Avenue [newly arrived Barwell Boys were accommodated in the Police Barracks until a position could be found for them]. Only one of the 'boys' is identified - Arthur Gibson - the fair haired boy 9th from left in the back row.

Gordon camped with friends at Uluru / Ayers Rock, on his trip across Australia from Ungarra, Eyre Peninsula to Darwin, July to August 1960. Florence Elizabeth Hammond
Studio portrait of Florence Elizabeth Hammond, daughter of the Reverend Octavius Hammond and his wife Anne (nee Dobson). Florence is seated on a bale of hay and holding a book. Her skirts are pleated and the bodice of her dress has two rows of buttons with smocking around the waist, and white lace around the neck and cuffs.
Miss Thomas' School, Myola, Port Lincoln
Group portrait of students of Miss Thomas' School 'Myola', Port Lincoln. Marjorie Broadbent (later Marjorie Bishop, wife of Myles Bishop) is back row, fourth from left, roughly in the centre, wearing a tie. Myola was the first private boarding school in Port Lincoln and opened by Miss Dora Thomas with the help of her two older sisters, Helen and May. Their residence and class rooms were set up together in the same building, and they taught as many as 25 pupils at a time. The school ran for nearly 15 years.
Reinforcements for Field Artillery
October reinforcements for the Field Artillery. The men embarked on the S.S. 'Orontes' on 24 December 1916. Driver Geoffrey Howard Bishop is top row, fourth from the right. Driver Geoffrey Howard Bishop, no. 31521, enlisted on 18 September 1916, aged 28, and was assigned to the 7th Australian Field Artillery Brigade, 107th Howitzer Battery. He saw active service in Frace, and died of pneumonia on 21 November 1917.
