Renmark Institute and Memorial Hall was opened in 1923 to commemorate those who had served in World War One. The foundation stone was laid by Sir William Birdwood on 16th March 1920. The building was designed to house the library, reading room, Council Chambers and upstairs the Returned Soldiers League rooms.
