Sir William Cleaver Francis Robinson, musical composer, colonial adminstrator and politician. He was Governor of WA and later South Australia from 1883. His role was mainly social and symbolic. Music was his passion, he was a polished public speaker, well travelled and on good terms with the upper classes.

Margaret Rogers. A researcher suggests that this is not Margaaret Rogers but Annie Ford. (see PRG 1543/1/64). The researcher provided the following information: 'Annie's sister Carrie married Thomas Rogers, so it is not suprising to find this photo in a Rogers family album. Thomas Rogers had a sister Margaret, born c.1844 who died in 1875.'

He demonstrated mental telepathy and hypnotic powers, was director of Keswick Base Hospital and accompany his regiment to the South African war.He was a member of various boards, including Public Library, Museum and Art Gallery.

John Ross: explorer, drover and station manager was born in Scotland, arriving in Sydney in 1837. He joined a cattle drive from Goulburn River to Adelaide. Ross was referred to Charles Todd who appointed him leader of the advance party for the establishment of the overland telegraph. His explorations took him through the Interior and he became the second person to cross the continent through the centre. Ross was an excellent bushman and an energetic leader.

Captain Thomas Rossiter [1800-1875] has Rossiter Bay in Western Australia named in his honour. He was an Englishman who commanded the French whaler called the "Mississippi". Captain Rossiter saved the life of Edward John Eyre and his offsider from starvation on their epic overland trip from Adelaide to King George Sound. The "Mississippi" was the first foreign vessel to enter Port Lincoln since its settlement. Captain Rossiter also commanded a large brigantine called "Wave of Goole". He used to paint water colours of the places he visited.
