Amos William Howard
Amos William Howard, discoverer of Subterranean clover. This species of clover is used in farming to produce a dense crop and also for longer lasting grazing pasture. Amos William Howard of Mount Barker supplied information and seeds for farmers in temperate climates around the world. Many struggling farmers benefited from his generosity. Walter Howchin
Professor Walter Howchin, geologist and methodist clergyman. In 1901-23 he was governor of the Public Library, Museum and Art Gallery and honorary palaeontologist to the museum. Short, with a white beard, in old age he still searched in the field for geology speciments. Several fossils were named after him. Buried in Mitcham cemetery. He contributed a chapter on the geology of the Morpeth district to Wilson's Handbook to Morpeth and Neighbourhood, 1876.

Colonel F.H. Howland. A researcher has provoded the following information: 'Howland is wearing his Queen's South Africa Medal with clasps. His 1st South Australian Mounted Rifles did not return from South Africa until 30 November 1900, and QSAs were issued only after the end of the war on 31 May 1902. I would think this photograph was taken on his receipt of the QSA in 1902 or 1903.'

Ulrich Hubbe, taken at Glenelg. He was born in Hamburg and arrived in South Australia in 1842. He is remembered as a journalist and newspaper editor, farmer, teacher, interpreter, land agent, public servant, Lutheran lay reader and legal scholar. His main contribution is to the Real Property Act which simplified the registration of land titles.

Sir Herbert Sydney Hudd, politician, enlisted and served with 43rd Battalion and won Military Cross in 1918. He was elected to House of Assembly and held the seat from 1920-1938, 1941-1948. He was a senior member of the Liberal Party.
