When Percy refused to resign from his portfolio his good friend Tom Playford submitted the resignation of his entire cabinet and formed a new one without Percy.

John Henry Smyth Blood of Blood's Creek second son of Dr M. Blood. He was born in County cCare and grew up in Kapunda. He worked on the construction team establishing the Overland Telegraph where he later became the Post Master and Telegraph Officer at the Peake Station. He held the position of Grand Master of the Freemason Lodge. John married Mary Enock and they had five children. He died at Auburn aged 49

Mrs Mary Ann Blood, wife of Dr Matthew H. S. Blood. Marianne was born April 4, 1816 in County Clare. She married Matthew her third cousin when she was 17. They had 11 children. Dr Matthew Henry Smyth Blood was born in County Clare and became a qualified medical practitioner in 1831. His family sailed for South Australia aboard the "Success" arriving in 1848. In Kapunda he was Mines Doctor until 1860. He founded the Kapunda Freemason's Lodge of which he became the first Master. He was Kapunda's first mayor and loved by many in the town. He died aged 75.

[General description] Head and shoulders portrait of Sir Arthur Blyth, in seven eighths view. He was Premier of South Australia three times:1864-1865, 1871-1872 and 1873-1875, later Agent General for South Australia in London. He was appointed K.C.M.G. in 1877 and C.B. in 1886.

Sir Arthur Blyth was Premier of South Australia three times - 1864-1865, 1871-1872, 1873-1875. He was born in Birmingham and arrived in South Australia on board the Ariadne in 1839. He supported the Torrens Real Estate Act but little other legislation was passed during his terms in government.

He was also Agent General for fifteen years. He arrived in South Australia with his parents in 1839 on board the "Ariadne". He was a founder of the Adelaide Club, a devout Anglican and a governor of St Peter's Collegiate School

Traugott Wilhelm Boehm graduate of Lobethal Theological College in 1854. He was the founder of the Hahndorf Academy in 1857. The highly successful school came to an end when the government grant was abolished. Boehme was forced into insolvency but the school continued under DJ Byard. The school was taken over by the Lutheran Church and it eventually became Concordia College
