View of the grounds at Sir Edwin T. Smith's property the 'Acacias' in Marryatville, South Australia. Greenhouses are in the background, with a creek and bridge in the foreground. Written on frame: 'Greenhouses in Sir E.T. Smith's grounds at the Acacias, 8.12.1900'. After the death of Sir Edwin Smith in 1919, his home 'The Acacias' because part of Loreto College and grounds, on the corner of Kensington Road and Port Rush Road, Marryatville. Sir Edwin Thomas Smith was a brewer, businessman, parliamentarian, civic leader and philanthropist.
