The map features Light's model for the emerging city, emphasising the availability of water, noting the surrounding vegetation, and his plan to connect the river flowing through the city to the harbour. The accompanying text are extracts from Light's writings, some dated Feby. 7th [1837], elaborating on his plans for Adelaide. Relief shown by hachures and soundings.

Mapping of the coast from Elliston in the west to the Coorong in the east, and from Kangaroo Island in the south to Mt. Deception in the north. The depiction of Lake Torrens indicates exploration not very advanced at this date. Originally published within 'Tallis's illustrated atlas and modern history of the world'. Large hand-coloured manuscript plan of 'The Town of Port Gawler, South Australia', created by surveyor P.L. Snell Chauncy. The plan depicts the intended layout of the town between the two branches of the Port Gawler Creek, including a largely grid-pattern street layout, two squares and a circus, designated land for public gardens and a market, and a cemetery on the edge of the town. Allotments for sale are numbered. A small inset shows the location of Port Gawler within the Adelaide region. A scale in feet and chains is included. Some staining is apparent around the edge of the plan.

Building Fund (Returned Soldiers' Association, which later became the R.S.L.), the Wattle Day League, Soldiers' Home, Children's Patriotic League, Nursing Society, and the Y.M.C.A., as well as official peace badges marking the end of the war and various miscellaneous badges including a Christian Endeavour convention, fundraising carnivals and memorial gardens. Photograph 154 of the Port Adelaide Gasworks after completion in 1866 is shown in the SAGASCO 1986 history (page 1) as part of the Bowden site buildings ca.1895. This is a copy made for SAGASCO ca.1986 from B 21542 (date given as ca.1900).

Comprising a composite of aerial photographs created in order to interpret geology for map making at Thompson Gap Diapir, north of Port Augusta in the Flinders Ranges and a negative of the final edit of the published map entitled 'Thompson Gap Diapir' (TJM 1971). Mount describes the photographs as the original interpreted geology overlay photographs of the area. The interpreted geology overlay work in black ink, was the first detailed map of the Thompson Gap Diapir. The documents were created as part of Mount's University of Adelaide Bachelor of Science (Geology) Doctorate thesis, and were later referred to by the South Australian Lands Department.
