During 1865 the Pioneer distillery was erected in Commerical Street by the Anderson family. Also during this year Robert Cock leased the Standard Brewery to partners Sharp and Anderson

The Commercial Roller flour mills at Mount Gambier with staff posing for the camera in front of the building. On the left men are unloading bags from a wagon drawn by a team of Clydesdale Horses. The Commercial Mill was built in 1895 and operated by Mr. T.H. Williams. The modern roller machinery was installed in 1892.
