Freeman Street, Congregational Chapel. Copied from Kingston's map of Adelaide, 1842. The first Congregational Chapel in South Australia was a temporary structure on North Terrace. George Strickland Kingston was the architect for a building in Freeman Street (now Gawler Place) with the congregation then moving to the Flinders Street site. The chapel was named in honour of the Reverend TQ Stow who conducted the first service in a tent on the Adelaide's Parklands in October 1837

Pirie Street, south side, National Hotel, frontage of the Hotel is 33 yards. The left side of the hotel is about three yards east of the western alignment of Devonshire Place. There is a hand drawn map of the exact location on the back of this photograph. This hotel was also known as Swiss, Tivoli, National and is now listed on the National Trust Register. At the time of this photograph the National Hotel proprietor was LF Wicklein. Trees outside the hotel provide shade for patrons.

Regent Place, 3rd June 1925. The right side of cottages is 32 yards north of David Street. Frontage: 18 yards. The front of cottages is approx. 44 1/2 yards from Regent Street alignment. A map on the back of the photograph gives the exact location of the cottages which are located at the end of a private laneway off Regent Street which runs between Angas Street and Carrington Street. The cottages are also accessible from nearby David Street which runs off Regent Street. There appear to be three semi detached cottages - the larger one has a window either side of the front door and the two smaller ones have a single window. There are small front gardens surrounded by a picket fence.
