Sailing boats on a waterway

Sailing boats on a waterway

Watercolour painting of a waterway in a flat landscape, with a church tower in the distance. There are two small sailing boats and a dinghy on the water, and a man is standing on a bridge over an inlet. It is possibly painted at the Patawolonga, looking back towards Adelaide; another suggestion is the Murray River at Goolwa. The painting in unsigned, but has 'G. Holman' scribbled in biro on the back. [See B 75230 for a related painting.]

Lighthouse and residences

Lighthouse and residences

Watercolour painting of a lighthouse and residences for the lighthouse keepers on a promontory above the water. The painting is unsigned. Given it is associated with B 75229 & B 75230 it is possibly of the Seacliff lighthouse. A researcher suggests that it is more likely Cape Jervis Lighthouse given siting of buildings and shape of cove.
