Clayton Congregational Church, Kensington was built in 1855 on a large and commanding site on the corner of Kensington Terrace (now Portrush Road) and East Parade (now The Parade). This spatial and ornamental chapel known as Clayton Chapel was named after Reverend John Clayton of London, former pastor of the founding minister Reverend John H Barrow.

Panoramic view of Bowden. A small boy is sitting on a wooden fence on the edge of the North Adelaide Parklands. The view behind him shows the suburbs to the west and north west of Adelaide. Tall chimneys can be seen in the distance. The village of Bowden was established in 1839 by James Hurtle Fisher. Some of the early industries in the area include a steam flour mill, candle works, Dowie's Tannery, gas works, Bowden Bottle Company, Taylor Brothers Brickmaking and Clay Works, Dowie's Boot Factory. There was also a Bible Christian Chapel, Lawton's School, Bowden Building Society and a Cricket Club.

Bungaree station homestead. George Hawker and his two brothers selected the area for their head station in 1841. They purchased 2000 sheep from New South Wales and established Bungaree Station. By the time of this photograph the property ran 100 thousand merino sheep. The historic Bungaree Homestead Complex included the homestead, manager's house, council chamber, stables, office, store, men's kitchen, shearing shed, swagman's hut, stallion box and gate house

It was originally a small stone cottage owned by the De Mole family and built in the late 1850s. By 1871 the house was enlarged to contain twelve rooms

Residence of T. R. Bowman, Campbell Park, Lake Albert. The Bowman family of pastoralists lived in the grand homestead of Campbell Park in the 1870s. The Heritage listed property consisted of Italianate style house and outbuildings and was situated on the banks of Lake Albert between Meningie and the Coorong. The photograph shows a lookout platform and weather vane towering over the single storey building. A small three masted boat can be seen sailing away from the landing.

Horse-drawn wagon loaded with wool, Canowie Station in South Australia. Canowie Station is located 14 miles south west of Terowie and 11 miles north west of Hallett. The estate is suitable for sheep and cattle. The station had a good reputation for helping swagmen with two meals and a bed in the early 1900s

Clarendon Hotel was established in 1855 and was also known as Royal Oak, Royal Oak Hotel. The proprietor at this time was Thomas Sims. He is possibly the gentleman standing with others under the vernadah. Two ladies are also watching the camera from the top balcony. By 1860 Cobb and Co. ran a weekly passenger service through town and by 1864 a regular daily mail collection was made

Workers from Murrays Biscuit Factory taking a break. Alexander Murray who arrived in South Australia on the "India" in 1840 planted fruit trees, built a jam and biscuit factory and employed many of the local men and women. Some women even walked from Hahndorf once a week to work at the factory. Eventually the firm became known as A Murray and Son. In 1876 the factory was in full production turning out large quantities of jam and biscuits
