The time-honored skill of quilting will be on display at the Bower Cottage Quilters' first show this Saturday and Sunday, October 29 and 30, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Bower Cottages, 200 Bower Road, Semaphore Park. Preparing for the display are (from left) quilters Dorothy Owens, Alder Hall and Agnes Lewis. A few of the quilts will be for sale and among the trading table goods will be quilted Christmas decorations. Afternoon tea will be available and admission of $2 will include a catalogue of items and the opportunity to win a door prize. Children will be admitted free. 26 October 1988.
