'The Diggers Hospital' 1920. No. 7 Australian General Hospital, 4th Military District, Keswick. The tram line to Keswick was opened on 18 September 1918, extending from the corner of Sturt Street and West Terrace (city) via Goodwood Road, Park Terrace (now Greenhill Road) and then down the Bay Road (later Anzac Highway). It enabled returned soldiers to get to the Hospital from the railway station and elsewhere.

A horse and a Friesian steer graze on the hillside which is part of the 30 acres of land bequeathed to the State by Keith Ashby on 15 October 1965. The horse called Pasha belongs to Keith Ashby's granddaughter Helen Robertson. Behind the farm animals is the Adelaide to Melbourne railway line with remnant tall trees below the embankment, South Australian blue gum (Eucalyptus leucoxylon), grey box (E. microcarpa) and sheoak (Allocasuarina verticillata).

Prince of Wales's visit, 1920. Crowd assembled at rear of the Railway Station. Edward, Prince of Wales visited Adelaide on July 12, 1920 during a tour on behalf of his father George V, thanking Australians for their participation in the First World War. He was accompanied by Lord Louis Mountbatten. A large Anzac Arch is prominent in the foreground.

The jetty makes a curved sweep out to its end where there are three ships berthed. Two other ships are seen further out at sea. Ships from left to right are 1: S.S. 'Tsinan', China Navigation Company, 1459 tons reg. from Sydney; 2: Ship 'Falkland Hill' from Hamburg, 1429 tons reg. with cement for Messrs. C & E Millar; 3: S.S. 'Menmuir', Eastern and Australian Company, 1247 tons reg. from Sydney; 4: S.S. 'Catterthun', Eastern and Australian Company, 1406 tons reg. from Sydney; 5: S.S. 'Chingtu' China Navigation Company, 1459 tons reg. from Hong Kong. *The Eastern and Australian Company's hulk 'Belle of South Esk', 540 tons reg. is receiving cargo between Nos. 3 and 4. [On back of photograph] 'The old railway jetty, Port Darwin / In the nineties (before August 8th 1895, the date of the wreck of the 'Catterthun') / Rebuilt 1900-1903 after it had been 'practically toppled into the sea' as a result of attacks of a marine borer (Teredo navalis)'.

The "Remonstrant" visited South Australia in 1891 and 1897. She was an iron barque built in Sunderland in 1878 weighing 1078 gross tons. She sailed from Liverpool to Port Adelaide in 1887 and from La Plata to Wallaroo in 1891.
