March 1869 - Robert Hutton; December 1869 John Hollowbred and partners; Sept. 1874 Thomas Watson; March 1875, GBB Elliott (Sawmiller, River Cam, Tasmania) Vessel stranded at Point Nepean, Victoria January 1876. Salvaged and repaired, re-registered at Melbourne in 1881 by F Keay and Chas. Coe. The vessel was broken up and register closed in 1917].

The iron schooner 'Wortanna', 213 tons, in an unidentified harbour [built as the iron paddle steam tug 'Albatross', sold and renamed Dec. 1918 and converted - iron auxiliary schooner, 213 gross, 163 net tons. ON74654, 131.4 x 21.1 x 10.4. Built 1875 Barclay, Curle and Co. Glasgow. 1918 = 8 cyl oil engine. Owners: WJ Wardle (Adelaide), registered Mlebourne; 1918 Frank A Verco; 1920 Victor Reeves (Hobart); 1921 Cairns Timber Ltd.; June 1922 Adelaide Steamship Co. Ltd. and altered into a sugar lighter. Requisitioned by US Forces in WW2. Then returned to owners, no longer described as auxiliary schooner, but twin screw motor ship. Stranded near the entrance to Mourilyan Harbour, Queensland and declared a constructive total loss. See 'The Adelaide Line' by Parsons, July 1975].

Built 1871 George Dent, junior, Jervis Bay, New South Wales. From January 1875 in the timber trade working out of Maryborough Queensland. Owner William Pettigrew and Co. Sank in the Mary River during floods in February 1893, and abandoned as a constructive total loss. See 'Port of Maryborough' by Parsons, 1976].

(Originally 223 gross, 215 net tons - remeasured 1897) 118.3 x 26.8 x 10.7. Built 1883 William W Cunnabell, Parrsboro' Nova Scotia. Owners: originally registered Parrsboro as 7 of 1883. In April 1889 John P Oakes, registered Auckland who in 1890 transferred the ship to Newcastle, NSW. Sold in April 1891 to Robert B Wallace: Dec. 1892 sold to Herbert and John Dawson (32) and Thomas Richards (32), registered Auckland; 1897 Joseph Westen, registered Sydney: who sells to Warburton and Sons. Sold to shipbreakers about 1918. Used as a collier, and probably later as a coal kulk, from at least 1897].

Sunderland, as 'Concordia' for French owners, subsequently became German under the same name. i. 1899 - sold to Australia and renamed 'Aldebaran', owners Harrison Douglas & James, Smith, reg. Sydney 1912. sold Union SS Co. of NZ Ltd. and converted to a coal hulk for use in Hobart. Sold by them in April 1948, and used to form a breakwater at Dunalley near Hobart.] Photographed at Mort's Dock, Sydney. [Note from Ron Parsons - Hulk Concordia steel 1913. Ron Parsons cannot locate any vessel to fit this description (ie steel 1913) There was an iron hulk of this name in Fremantle (1076 tons) between 1913 - 1948].
