Wendts Jewellers in Rundle Street. Joachim Matthias Wendt (1830-1917) was apprenticed to a watchmaker and learnt the silversmith craft. He emigrated to South Australia from Germany and set up as a watchmaker and jeweller. After the Duke of Edinburgh's visit in 1867 J Wendt became "Jeweller to His Royal Highness" in the colony of South Australia. His commercial endeavours flourished and at one time he owned Adelaide Arcade and the Theatre Royal in Hindley Street.

This building houses the business of Norman and Company importers of high grade fertilisers, harvest machines and grain and manure drills. A variety of ploughs are displayed on the footpath. Three men in straw hats are talking in the doorway of the premises.

It has an arched door in its corner, perhaps was previously a shop. A sign in its window mentions the name A. Dunn.
