A large meeting of politicians, company officers and senior public servants presided over by Thomas Price, Premier of South Australia in the office of the state's Chief Secretary on 4 February 1907. Mr A.H. Peake, the State Treasurer, is handing over a cheque paying for the assets of Adelaide's horse tram companies to A.M. Simpson, a South Australian public benefactor, representing the companies.
