Historical information

Theodore Bruce had auctioneer offices in Old Exchange, Pirie Street, Adelaide; he was Mayor of Adelaide 1904-07 and devoted much of his life to civic affairs. He was a Liberal member in the Legislative Council, patron of the arts and a racehorse owner.
