[General description] This imposing two storey stone building, with its twin gables and decorative iron and brickwork, was built in 1881 as an Inebriates Retreat by Daniel Hewett. It was further extended in 1898. Between 1893-1907 it became Hope Lodge for the training of Missionaries. Since 1998 it has beome part of St. John's Grammar School.
