Summary

Unveiling of the War Memorial at St. George's Anglican Church, Goodwood. This is taken from outside the picket fence and shows the crowd attending the unveiling. According to a researcher, the unveiling occurred on Sunday, 11th November 1923. It was erected to the memory of 130 soldiers from St. George's Church, Goodwood, and district, who gave their lives in the Great War. The church, rectory and war memorial were all designed at different times by Canon Wise's brother-in-law, the architect T. H. Lyon.
