Summary

The soldiers' memorial in front of St. George's Anglican Church, Goodwood, with Canon Wise standing beside the memorial. According to a researcher, the unveiling of the memorial occurred on Sunday, 11th November 1923. It was erected to the memory of 130 soldiers from St. George's Church, Goodwood, and district, who gave their lives in the Great War. The church, rectory and war memorial were all designed at different times by Canon Wise's brother-in-law, the architect T. H. Lyon.
