General notes

This photograph taken during a trip by the Governor of South Australia, Sir George Le Hunte, to Spencer Gulf ports aboard the Marine Board steamer, Governor Musgrave. The Chronicle newspaper of 2 March 1907 reports; "an early start was made on Wednesday for Arno Bay .... The Governor Musgrave was taken in close to the jetty, but was grounded 200 ft. off, and Capt. Weir was compelled to back out and drop an anchor. The party landed in a boat. ... From Dutton Bay the next place of call was Lipson's Cove. The steamer was berthed alongside the jetty, and the officials examined the stacking ground." Page 42.
