[General description] This view, criss-crossed by utility wires, shows that there is a function on at Government House where the flag flies proudly at the flagstaff. A small crowd has assembled at the gates where two Police Greys stand at attention. Horse drawn vehicles appear in the foreground. [On back of photograph] 'Government House entrance gates and lodge / About 1896'.
