White (Family), 1899-1902, Mixed material, PRG 335/68/10
Captain S.A. White's army uniform comprising jacket, pants and belt, made in navy wool by 'Cleghorn and Harris, High Class Tailors, Cape Town'. The jacket has brass buttons and two matching badges pinned to the lapels. Also included are a collection of buttons and badges from uniforms, including 6 mounted on khaki wool epaulettes and two bars. The uniform was worn whilst a member of the Imperial Bushmen's contingent in South Africa. Also two silk handkerchiefs with 'S.A. White 010' inked in the corner.
