On the front of the mount is a printed inscription 'Wishing you a happy and joyous Christmas', with a handwritten inscription 'Mr O'B. From the rider with every kind & loving wish for his old master' on the back of the photo.

Identified on the reverse as 'Mrs Samuel White & H.M.White's white horse & dog cart / "Weetunga" / east side of house'. The image shows a white pony harnessed to the dog cart in which Martha White is sitting; a dog is 'begging' beside the cart, and the owner of the outfit, Mort White, is probably on the far side of the pony (only the legs are visible).
