Historical information

A train pulled by two Rx class locomotives, No.147 and No. 94, emerges from No.4 tunnel, Blackwood, South Australia. No. 147 was an R class locomotive built by James Martin & Co., of Gawler, South Australia. It was commissioned in 1895, rebuilt to Rx class in 1910 and withdrawn in 1935. No. 94 was an R class locomotive built by Dubs & Co., of Glasgow, Scotland. It was commissioned in 1886, rebuilt to Rx class in 1903 and withdrawn in 1927.
