On the back is the caption 'This aircraft piloted by "Ossie" Diamon [sic], (should be Diamond) sank a transport with 4 direct bomb hits off K.B in early hours of Decr 7th 1941. The first Jap. ship sunk in W.W.II. I believe A16-48 later captured in Java. I flew in this aircraft with F/Lt Ditchburn, F/O "Ding Dong" Bell, Sgt Neil Menzies. Note masking tape still on new turret'.
