Summary

'Somers, Victoria. September 1940. Inspection by Gov. General Lord Gowrie [previously Sir Alexander Hore-Ruthven Governor of S. Aust.] and right, W/C White, Co. of 1 I.T.S. Somers, who was shot down at Gallipoli, and prisoner of Kemal Attaturk. He wrote 'Guest of the unspeakable". Right to left: Trevor Menzies, Peter Jackson, Rex Green. Lord Gowrie is about to engage me in short conversation'.
