Summary

Photo of Frederick William Allison (Walter Henry Allison's uncle) of Strathalbyn, dressed for work in a brimmed hat, double-breasted mid-length coat, and trousers tucked into black leather boots, and carrying a large, tin milk bucket. Peering from behind the gate is his daughter Ida. A letter on the reverse reads: 'Dear Wallie I am just going to call on you this morning to see if [you] want any milk how about taking two pints this is just a snap by Miss Menmuir at their gate one morning. Hope you are getting on all right & keeping fit & well & that you have a pleasent [sic] Christmas & a quite [sic] time. Best love & wishes to you boy From Uncle Will That is Ida looking through the gate.
