General notes

One of the ships owned by the Iredale and Porters Fleet, Liverpool.

This image is from the A.D. Edwardes Collection of about 8,000 photographs, mostly of sailing ships from around the world, taken between about 1865 and 1920. Mounted in 91 albums, the photographs are arranged by country of ownership, with some special volumes such as 'Shipping at Port Adelaide' and 'South Australian outports'. Additional information, giving the history of the ships where known, has been provided by maritime historian, Ron Parsons.

The photographer of record is from Woodfield (first name not yet known as photographers of that era were usually one-man shops) Photo of Astoria, Oregon. Due to the orientation of the anchor chains and the location of the broken foremast, a comparison between the E.A. Coe photos of 11/13/1906 and this photo indicates that this photo (PRG 1373/9/30) was taken earlier than Coe's photographs. Time frame is between 10/26/1906 and 11/13/1906.
