The wooden ketch 'Harold', 98 tons, at Port Augusta [wooden 2 mast ketch. ON112505, 108 tons, 96.0 x 23.0 x 7.1. Built 1900 Hans C Christensen, Bermagui, NSW. Aux. motor fitted May 1922. Owners: HC Christensen, registered Sydney; c.1914 AL Le Messurier and others (of Port Adelaide) register transferred to Port Adelaide in 1919. 1922 = R Fricker and Co. and partners. Acquired by the Commonwealth Government during WW2 on behalf of USA Small Ships. Fate unknown]

From the volume titled 'South Australian Owned Coasters, Part I'.

This image is from the A.D. Edwardes Collection of about 8,000 photographs, mostly of sailing ships from around the world, taken between about 1865 and 1920. Mounted in 91 albums, the photographs are arranged by country of ownership, with some special volumes such as 'Shipping at Port Adelaide' and 'South Australian outports'. Additional information, giving the history of the ships where known, has been provided by maritime historian, Ron Parsons.
