Altered Nov. 1936 = 2 mast ketch, aux. motor, 21 gross tons, 17 net tons. 48.0 x 15.4 x 4.4. Built 1874 Port Cygnet. Tasmania. Owners: Thomas Nichols, registered Hobart: May 1876 JH Bowker and Partners, registered Port Adelaide; 1876 Thomas Nichols; 1878 C Harris and A Jones; 1879 G&T Mitchell; 1886 RA Stock; 1894 TH Heritage; by 1919 JF Pearce; 1921 EM Loveday; 1922 JF Harvey; 1930 LJ Tulloch by 1941 FB & TE Albino. Register closed December 1945 with 'sold to an American subject and abandoned in the North Arm']

From the volume titled 'South Australian Owned Coasters, Part I'.

This image is from the A.D. Edwardes Collection of about 8,000 photographs, mostly of sailing ships from around the world, taken between about 1865 and 1920. Mounted in 91 albums, the photographs are arranged by country of ownership, with some special volumes such as 'Shipping at Port Adelaide' and 'South Australian outports'. Additional information, giving the history of the ships where known, has been provided by maritime historian, Ron Parsons.
