Summary

The four masted iron ship 'County of Kinross', 1641 tons, at the Semaphore anchorage [iron 4 mast ship, 1716 gross tons, ON78570, 267.0 x 38.8 x 23.6. Built 1878 (1) Barclay, Curle and Co. Glasgow. Owners R&J Craig, registered Glasgow. Sold c.1906 to Norway, reduced to a 4 mast barque and renamed Marpesia, broken up in 1920's].

One of the ships owned by Craigs County Line / R. and J. Craig, Glasgow.

This image is from the A.D. Edwardes Collection of about 8,000 photographs, mostly of sailing ships from around the world, taken between about 1865 and 1920. Mounted in 91 albums, the photographs are arranged by country of ownership, with some special volumes such as 'Shipping at Port Adelaide' and 'South Australian outports'.
