Summary

Plan of the county of Russell, showing the course of the River Murray into Lake Alexandrina, with Lake Albert, the Murray Mouth and the Coorong, and section numbers of land surveyed around these areas. Sections hand hand coloured in green appear to indicate land held by the South Australian Company. The border of the adjoining County of Sturt is shown as a dotted line across Lake Alexandrina from Point Sturt to Pomanda, with Aboriginal place names of points along Younghusband Peninsula. Compiled from official surveys in the office of the Surveyor General and lithographed by Corp. Richard John Loveday, Royal Engineers, 1857. Scale 1 inch to 2 miles.
