Standard Telephones and Cables Shop Display
Photograph of the STC display of goods in its Mount Gambier store. Among the appliances on display are radiogrammes, heaters, vacuum cleaners, upright polishers and record players in cabinets. The slogan for STC is "For tone it stands alone".


Myora Forest Nursery
Photograph of the Myora Forest Nursery which shows rows and rows of baby pine trees not much higher than a man's hat. There is an overhead irrigation system set up and the whole area is protection from the wind by stripped sapling fences. According to a researcher, as of 2018 there was a dining house on the site, advertising itself as Myura House.

The interior of the Davis Brothers Workshop, 67 Commercial Street East, Mt Gambier, showing two men in the Battery Section. The business retailed batteries and tyres for motor vehicles. According to a researcher, the person on the right, rear is Morgan Marks.


International Harvester

Hustlers shop display window
Photograph of the display window at the Hustlers Store taken in 1947. At this time there was a display advertising Lipton Tea. The slogan was "Lipton Tea - Brisk flavour...never flat".

Photograph of the display window at Frees the Tobacconist in 1951. Packets of cigarettes, pipes, cigars, lighters, ash trays, shaving cream, aftershave, toothpaste, razors and straps, shoe laces and tobacco are on display. The advertisement states that Red Capstans are the Empires favoured cigarette.

Photograph of a display window featuring Rinso Soap Powder. Along with many packets of Rinso there are also advertisements for Australia's Amateur Hour. Claude Holland is the Assistant Producer and Jean Bates pianist will accompany contestants. Clifford Arnold is the talent scout for the program. Photographs of previous artists who have appeared on the show include a singer and a young piper and drummer.
