Summary

The "Tabernacle" at Encounter Bay, Victor Harbor marking the site of the "Tabernacle" situated near or in the old cemetery on the way from Victor Harbor to the Bluff. The inscription reads "This stone marks the site of The Tabernacle, the first Congregational Church in the Southern District. Founded in 1846 by The Rev. RW Newland. The Pioneer Pastor of the South".
