Summary

Stow Memorial Church in Flinders Street was named after the Reverend Thomas Quinton Stow who was the first minister of the Congregational Church. Land adjoining the Treasury Building was purchased in 1863. The foundation stone was laid in 1865 and the church was opened in 1867. The style is English Gothic. This photograph was taken from above looking down on the altar and pulpit.
