Street Library

Street Library

Public libraries were closed for some time due to the coronavirus. This street library was found on a street in front of a house for people to 'take a book, leave a book'. A great idea for those who love to read with a book in hand, but couldn't visit a library in person because they were closed. Digital books/materials could still be borrowed. Local government libraries re-opened in Stage 1 of the Roadmap to Recovery, from May 11, 2020.

Solitude is a blessing for creative work....

Solitude is a blessing for creative work....

I have completed 82 orbits around the Sun, the last six laps as widower living alone. Returning from a cruise on the Golden Princess in Virgin plane from Melbourne near the end January 2020 I developed a dry cough, that cleared up in a few days after taking the prescribed antibiotic medication. I chose to stay home apart from daily swim from 6:00 am and some shopping. The pool closed on the 23 March and partially reopened on the 9th June. During that time, I was house bound and decided that I learn to paint on computer, using AutoDesk SketchBook. These are examples from the hundreds of my creations in printable form A4 or smaller size photo paper.

Making bird houses from old pallettes

Making bird houses from old pallettes

I spent some of my time at home making bird houses, for the many birds we have around here. I used old palettes that were being given away, plus some sticks and bark.
