Summary

Black and white photograph taken in the Flinders Ranges of a car about to drive through a cutting on a dirt track, with large hills beyond. Inscription on verso: 'Road to Hawker through "Wilpena". This country is some of the best I have seen, red flats that will grow anything. Recently had 6 in of rain in one fall. Cars & trucks bogged for days a few hundred yards from this cutting'.
