Summary

Black and white photograph taken in the Flinders Ranges of a donkey team pulling a cart. Inscription on verso: 'Team of 17 carting limestone. Note foal near shafters. He pulled his weight all day and is now quite quiet. Once handled this way they are usually not much bother again. Note action of grey who has [sic] just received. Small donks shown here are to be culled. Mousey greys are fair size. Snowy and shafter too small. 3 fours[?], 2 shafters, 3 leaders'.
