The auto-gyro copter (VH-USQ) was imported from England in 1935 and re-assembled in Perth, making its way across regional centres in Western Australia, offering short joy flights, before arriving in South Australia. Arthur H. Wilkins' house, hangar, and VH-UHL Farman 'Sport' biplane on his airfield at Ackland Gardens (South Rd) S.A. With this biplane Arthur took aerial photos of 3,142 farms, stations and fruit blocks up until the 1939-45 War, with a converted 5"x4" Groflex Camera. Arthur Wilkins owned the aircraft for 12 years from 1934 to 1946.
