Historical information

Lucy Gill married William Glover Humphries in London on 11 June 1833. The couple, together with their infant son William John Humphries, arrived in Adelaide on 9 February 1837 aboard the 'John Renwick'. The family settled in Waymouth Street, Adelaide, subsequently living at Balhannah and Blakiston before settling at Nairne, where she died 16 April 1879.
