Historical information

'Lady Sid' was owned by Mr J. Thornycroft from New South Wales and from the English firm of Thornycroft Limited. Brought in from England especially for the Championship, this was a 33 ft. single-step hydroplane fitted with a V-type 12 cylinder Thornycroft engine developing 375 h.p. She finished second, 100 yards behind 'Century Tire', in this 1924 Australian Championship race.
